I saw this scene as I was leaving work this week, and snapped a picture like he was a tiger crouching in the brush.  And then I quickly left my office building and sped to the parking garage.  No telling what that lunatic has planned.

The Captain Enjoys The Comforts Like A Hobbit

If there is one thing I’m almost always down for it’s the midnite premier of a great movie.  Last nite my buddy Alex the Raging Liberal gathered a group of super nerds for The Hobbit in the early morning.  We reserved primo 3D seats at the new West Olive Dine-In theatres.  And what an unlikely group we made, just like the film itself.  We had Alex, Lolo,

As well as Constable Boom Boom, @aquanetter, Officer Brown, @winehouseamy, and my brother Paul.  After 3 hours of beer, food and Middle Earth I was so exhausted I slept from about 4am to 2pm.  What a great way to enjoy a day off!

The Captains Electric Service

Great news for rich white people living in St. Louis: Tesla is opening a service center in University City!

 

 

 

Nothing says money to burn like a $50,000 all-electric luxury sedan.  But in all seriousness, this announcement is pretty cool.  I am an enthusiastic supporter of electric cars, and having a service center in St. Louis means we could actually start seeing a few Tesla Model S on the road in the Gateway City.  Granted, it will take many improvements to the region’s infrastructure before electric cars become a novelty in St. Louis.  And without a Tesla dealer in the Midwest, it will take even more money to get the first few cars here.  But still, at this point without a service center these electric cars are not even an option.

And as an added bonus for me, the new Tesla service center is located at Olive and I-170 near my route to work.  So I might get a peek at the Model S during my morning commute next year!
