The New York Times has an interesting piece today about growing up with hoarders for parents. The article was a good read, but it mostly just made me long for new episodes of A&E’s Hoarders. My wife and I are absolutely hooked on that show.
I think that Hoarders is the perfect reality show in that it allows the audience to passively judge the show’s subjects to the Nth degree. Every episode features at least one jaw dropping moment. And almost anyone can feel better about themselves after watching the Hoarders1.
The third season ended back in January, and since then we’ve had this void on Monday nites. Seeing as the highly anticipated fourth season is set to premier at some point this summer, we’re excited to fill this void with mountains of junk soon!
1. Before Hoarders we were hooked on A&E’s other voyeur-fest, Intervention.
