Captain's Quarters

For those of you that have not heard, my Grandmother passed away on January 12^th.  She had been in poor health for a number of months, but her death was still difficult for me to accept.  I loved my Grandmother a great deal and I already miss her more than I care to discuss.  I’ve been struggling with what I should say about her here at Captains Quarters, which is why I haven’t posted in a few weeks.   All of my emotional and creative efforts were used to help make her memorial a suitable tribute.  It’s been a little over a week since her service, and I am still at a loss for words.  But I know that I need to move on past this sadness.  So today I’m posting my favorite picture of my Grandmother, Gerry, with my late Grandfather, Leroy

And sending her my love one more time.  Rest In Peace.
